The UMS runs social events, academic seminars, and Putnam Practice sessions throughout the academic year with the goal of supporting both the academic interests of the student body as well as their general well-being. The UMS also contributes to UBC’s weekly Math Circle meetings which aim to support advanced high school students.
The two major collaborative annual events hosted by the UMS during the academic year are the Women in Mathematics: Panel & Social and the Clash of Equations: Undergraduate Mathematics Competition.
